LOG HOME FAQ
What kind of wood do you use? We use white pine exclusively in our log homes.
What size logs do you have? We carry 6" x 8" logs, we can mill them 6" high x 8" wide or 8" high x 6" wide. The most popular size is 8" high x 6" wide.
Can I get a double tongue and groove? yes, only on a 8" wide log, there is not enough room on a 6" wide log.
Do you have round logs? No, we do not carry whole round logs or hand peeled logs.
Can we get our "D" shaped logs "O" shaped instead? We can mill our logs with a curved or rounded shape inside the same as outside.
What are your log siding corners like? Our corners are 24" long. 14" of siding and 10" of log ends. They look like logs on the ends. You need to order right hand and left hand corners.
How do I attach the siding? We suggest you face nail the siding with 3" galzanized finishing nails. The ship-lap is not strong enough to hold.
Do you have tongue and groove siding or ship lap? We have ship lapped siding.
What size lag screws should I use? We suggest 12" Olylogs for your 8" high logs and 10" Olylogs for your 6" logs.
What is the finished size of my siding? Our 8" siding finishes at 7-1/2" of coverage the same as our logs. Our 6" siding finishes at 5-1/2" of coverages the same as our logs.
What do I put on the logs to keep them from darkening? We sugges that you put a water sealer on such as CWF or CWF-UV as soon as your logs are up. If you are going to put a stain on make sure that you put that on before your water sealer.

PALLET FAQ
Do you heat treat pallets for overseas? yes
Why is heat treating necessary? To kill any bugs or eggs in the wood. Gov. regulations now state that any pallet shipped overseas must be heat treated.
Are your heat treated pallets certified & stamped? yes, they are stamped on both sides of the outside runners.
Do you remanufacture used pallets? no
What states do you deliver pallets to? Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, Delaware, and parts of Massachusetts.
Are you a broker? No, we are the manufacturer.
What size pallets do you make? We manufacture all different sizes of pallets and skids.
How much lead time do you need? We would like to have a weeks notice, however if you are steady customer we can probibly do them in 3 days or less.

KID WOOD FAQ
How much Kid Wood do I need? That depends on the critical height of your equipment. The critical height is the maximum height from which a child could fall from.
If my highest slide is 8' high, how thick should my Kid Wood be? The general rule for shredded wood is one inch of loose wood for every foot of critical height, so 8" of loose wood.
Do I need to add more Kid Wood every year? You should defenatly check your level every year, you probibly need to top off your Kid Wood every other year to be safe.
What makes your ground wood beter than someone elses? Our Kid Wood is made from the wood chips in our mill. Alot of people grind used pallets to make shredded wood, we do not. With shredded pallets you could have all kinds of contaminates on them such as chemicals or paint.
Where do you deliver to? We can deliver anywhere in Pennsylvania, New York, or New Jersey.
Who tested your Kid Wood? SGS U.S. Testing Company in Fairfield, NJ tested us for ASTM F1292-99 impact test and Northwest Laboratories of Seattle, WA tested us for ASTM F1951-00 Wheelchair test.
How do you deliver your Kid Wood? We deliver the Kid Wood on a walking floor trailer that can hold up to 100 yards of kid wood in it. However, if you need a smaller amount, we have dump trucks available.
